Map Pins
On your default property search page, and any page where you have a hotsheet that includes the map, you will see map pins that indicate the location of various properties in the search results as shown below.
These pins will display as prices and dots and are green by default.
- The price pins represent the listings on the first page of the results.
- The dot pins represent the listings on the following page.
The pins that are displayed are determined by the criteria (filters, such as location, price, etc.) of the search as well as the sorting of the results, such as by newest listings or most expensive.
With the dynamic nature of the plugin, we make efforts to decrease the load time of the plugin on your website by mixing dots with price pins and also not displaying all the listings in your feed at once (as there are likely thousands!)
Customize the map pins to fit your brand using our customization guide!
Pagination
You'll notice on your default search page that there is a pagination function that displays the number of listings being viewed on that first page. By default, we display 1-100 on each page. (To change the number of results per page, head to Settings > Display in your admin). Clicking the > will load the next page of results and the map pins will update on the map at the same time.
The pagination will display differently, depending on which map style you are using.
Top Map Display
When using the top map display, the pagination will appear below the map.
Left-Side Map Display
When using the left-side map display, the pagination will appear below the listings.
Listing Preview
When you hover over a map pin on the map, you'll see a sneak preview of the listing which includes an image, the price, status, property type, and sale type. If the listing is an actual property, it will display beds, baths and square footage. If it's a land listing, it will display acreage and county information.
Draw Tool
On the top left side of the map, there is a draw tool that allows you to draw a shape of the preferred area where you want to see available listings. To learn more about how to use the draw tool, visit this article.
Zoom
The plus and minus buttons on the left side of the map allow you to zoom in (+) and out (-) of the map, to hone into a desired location.
Search In Map
In the top right corner of the map, you'll find a 'Search in Map' feature. This works best if you are already zoomed into a location on the map. When selected, you'll notice a black border is added to the map, which indicates that only listings within the map box are displayed. As you zoom in and out or move the map around, you will see the listings continue to update to fit the map location, as shown below.
Satellite View
On the left side of the map is an option to switch the map from the default to a satellite view. To get back to the default view, simply click the icon below the satellite button that looks like a map.
Lastly, if you wanted to change the style of the default map, there is a setting for that!
